Awareness
Awareness The problem isn't life itself, but your resistance to it. You don't suffer because of what's happening; you suffer because you refuse to accept it. You want reality to be different from what it is. You fight against the inevitable, and that struggle fills you with anguish.
The only way to free yourself from fear is to let go of the need for control. Accept that you can't avoid change, that you can't own anything permanently, and that absolute security doesn't exist. Only when you let go of what you can't control do you find true peace.
It doesn't mean resignation or passivity. It means acting without attachment to the outcome, living without the anxiety of loss, loving without demanding permanence. When you let go of fear, you realize there was never anything to be afraid of. Life flows on its own, and you can flow with it instead of fighting against the inevitable.
You can't wake up if you don't learn to observe yourself. You live identified with your thoughts, emotions, and reactions without realizing that you are not them. You confuse your sadness, your anger, your fear. You think you are those emotions, when in reality they are just passing states. The key to freeing yourself from suffering is to clearly see what is happening within you without judging or clinging to it.
