Awareness
Awareness You see the world through a veil of illusions. You think things are as you see them, but you don't see reality; you see what you've been taught to see. Do you believe happiness lies in achieving more, gaining approval, finding love, or reaching goals? However, everything you chase is part of a dream. You don't realize that suffering comes precisely from living in that state of unconsciousness.
Imagine someone having a nightmare. In his dream, he is being chased, feeling fear, anguish, and pain. Shouts, fights, despairs. But in reality, he's in his bed, safe and sound. If he woke up, he would see that his suffering was an illusion. That's how you live, believing you need something to be whole, that you can't be happy without certain people or conditions. But reality goes beyond your beliefs.
The problem is you don't want to wake up. You prefer to keep dreaming because it's familiar, and breaking it means facing uncertainty. Awakening is not comfortable. It's painful to realize that the life you've built is a series of conditioned reflexes, inherited fears, and invisible chains. But until you open your eyes, you'll keep repeating the same patterns, trapped in a never-ending cycle of desires and frustrations.
