The Wild Robot Protects
The Wild Robot Protects The sea lion, exhausted and barely able to lift his head, glances at Roz. “Help me… I just want to feel the water… one last time.”
Roz nods silently and, with great care, lifts the sea lion in her mechanical arms. She carries him to the edge of the sea and gently places him in the waves. A faint glimmer of peace flickers in the sea lion’s eyes before he disappears beneath the water. But the fear lingers, spreading like a shadow over the animals. As Roz gazes toward the horizon, she sees the shimmer of the poison tide creeping closer, slow but relentless.
“This isn’t an ordinary danger,” Roz says softly, watching as the clear water begins to be overtaken by an eerie, menacing sheen. “This threat could destroy everything.”
The news of the “poison tide” spreads like wildfire, filling every corner of the island with suffocating panic. The animals, who usually gather peacefully at Dawn’s Gate to exchange news and enjoy the morning calm, now find themselves locked in frantic discussions about the looming threat. This place, once a sanctuary of community and tranquility, has become a hotbed of fear and speculation.
Roz, the robot who has protected these animals since her arrival, steps forward to restore order.
