The Hundred Years War on Palestine
The Hundred Years War on Palestine International mediations have failed to resolve the conflict because they have not recognized the fundamental equality between the parties. Rather than enforcing justice, they have managed the occupation, allowing it to persist. Any genuine solution requires an approach that addresses the conflict's root causes, acknowledges historical injustices, and guarantees the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. Without this, peace will remain an unattainable illusion.
In a conflict rooted in over a century of dispossession and resistance, any proposal for the future must address the fundamental causes of occupation and inequality. The solution must transcend current structures that perpetuate oppression and focus on principles of justice, equality, and self-determination for all inhabitants of the region.
The traditional framework of a two-state solution, widely promoted by the international community, has proven inadequate. The ongoing expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank, along with territorial fragmentation and economic infeasibility, has made the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state nearly impossible. Furthermore, this approach disregards the millions of Palestinian refugees living in exile, whose right of return remains a central demand.
