Albert Nolan nació en Sudáfrica en 1934. Ingresó en la Orden de Santo Domingo en 1954 e hizo sus estudios en Sudáfrica y en Roma. Desde entonces ha enseñado en seminarios y facultades de Teología, ha desempeñado su labor pastoral entre los pobres y ha sido muchos años capellán universitario. Es autor tamnbién de la obra Dios en Sudáfrica, Sal Terrae, Santander 1989.
